Osaka Kansai
750 yen ramen
last leg of journey.

Second time typing this. Stupid laptop goes on standby then doesn’t come out and the wifi connection is constantly fritzing (though it’s free, so I can’t complain tooo much).

Had myself a bowl of ramen on behalf of my friends who would like to have ramen in Japan and some mango juice from a vending machine.

I’m how just passing time until boarding starts (which should be any minute now). Then it’s the looooong flight home and a week of battling jet lag.

But it was all definitely worth it, I had a great vacation!

Pics to come…

Ya know the movie “A River Runs Through It”?

I was “It” during the last few days. Finally caught a nice case of the runs from my visit (which seems to have hit everybody).

Oh well, I’m mostly over it now! No more trip to the Maldives, but more time in Sri Lanka (yay!).

Time to get back to my regularly scheduled vacation.

In Singapore, I
wait for my flight, net access
yay. Battery dies.

Well, not really, but it will soon. No outlets around here…arg.
Well, my flight to Sri Lanka is delayed, so here I wait.
Maybe I’ll take pictures of the airport or something.

Craving

Okay, so it’s 1:30am and I REALLY want some milk.
I drive down the highway to the only supermarket open at this hour, and grab my milk.  Then I think to my self: “Damn, it would be a waste of a trip to just get milk.  I also kind of want ice cream.”

30 minutes later I have Breyer’s Strawberry cream bars, Half sized can Dr. Peppers, an apple pie snack (mmm apple pie), and some bottles of ginger ale from the organic dept (real ginger!).

I get up to the register, make some small talk, reach for my wallet…

… and realize I forgot my wallet.

In the end, I went to McD’s to get a milk and 2 apple pies, paying with the change scrounged up from my cup holders.

Sometimes, you just really need an apple pie and milk.
